Rustic Fall Candle Jars

If you are anything like me, you do not have the time, energy or the money to invest into difficult projects. I'm all about the simple and cute! This fall I'm still loving the mason jars and burlap for decorating. I decided to add some fall leaves to the DIY and this is what happened. This project is super easy! After doing the first jar with mod podge I decided to try hot glue. Beside burning my fingers a little, hot glue works great. So whatever you choose, give this DIY a try!

What You Need

Start by removing the plastic backing from the leaves so that you can bend and fold them however you like. (See the picture below)

Take the leaves and arrange them at the bottom of the jar one by one. Don't be too precise - that's where rustic comes in. When you are happy with the results, tie rafia at the top of the jar.

Next grab fall-looking burlap (or you can do simple burlap too) and wrap it around the jars. I took smaller jars because it covered them perfectly. You can stick with all big ones but having different size jars on a table looks better than all the same size. Now didn't I tell you this was easy?

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

There is no doubt, red is my favorite color this season. Another favorite thing of mine is to scour gorgeous clothes for fraction of the cost. I found this skirt during my recent thrift store shopping spree and couldn't believe my eyes that I found exactly what I was looking for. I love the ease of movement and the countless ways I can style it (also how gorgeous is this one?).Also I'm loving the bow striped pumps (unfortunately they sold out) in this outfit. Can't stop thinking of more ways to wear them. Are you into mdi skirts or shy away from their particular styling? Thank you for stopping by!

Welcome to another week!I'm enjoying early fall immensely. Speaking of fall, red is the hottest color this season, in fact all shades of red from orange to marsala. This red midi skirt is my favorite and I had my eye on it when I was pregnant (also love this one). I'm so happy I have (somewhat) of a waist back and can wear it now.
Also, let's talk about my glasses, yes they are designer (yeek!). To be honest, I cannot afford the price tag on them, and that's where shop DITTO comes in. DITTO is an excellent eyewear rental service for a reasonable price. This is how it works. You pay $19/month to get any (ANY!) designer pair and keep it as long as you like. When you want a new pair, you simply send the old one back and order another one (love this pair). Simple right?. DITTO is giving away first THREE MONTHS for free to TWO lucky readers!

Hello everyone! I can't believe how fast time is flying and it seems like in every pictures the bum is getting bigger ha. There is a little bit left to go and I'm counting down the days. Among being active and eating less sodium, I'm also taking red raspberry leaf tea capsules - the reviews seem to suggest that they help tone the uterus and ease the labor (if there is such thing ;-). One thing I'm praying for is not to carry past 40 weeks with which the capsules supposedly help also. Do any of you have advice or experience with that? Considering I was late the first time, I will take anything!

Mint and Navy

top: Tahari via TJMaxx (similar here and here under $20!!!)
shorts: J.Crew (regular on sale!, similar)
flats: Target (DIY tassels)
bag: Amazon
necklace: Nordstrom (similar)
sunglasses: Choies (the real deal)
hat: J.Crew
You know when you buy something and it seems like it's a bit too expensive? You do like it (more like love it), the color and the fit are just perfect. You get home and still think about returning it, then you decide to wait and see if you will find something to wear it with? And of course, you do! Then you wear it again, and by that time it's time to cut the tag off, because honestly it has the smell of your perfume all over it. Now you have to throw it in the wash and after that you wear it couple more times.
Well, that's the story of this top. At first I was on the edge about getting it but loved how it fit my belly, as well as the mint color (can it be more perfect?). I have contemplated about returning it but it's just the perfect top for this summer. It's flowy and light, long enough to cover the belly and I'm sure it's going to work after I have the baby. So, guess what? It's staying! Have you found your perfect mint top this summer?

Pink Pleats

dress: vintage  (here and here)
pumps: Jessica Simpson
clutch: DIY (similar)
necklace: old (similar)
watch: Fossil
I think at this point my style posts will have to slow way down. One I don't have much to show as I'm wearing the same things over and over again. Two, I don't want to buy more clothes that will only fit for a few weeks. Three, we have hit the 32 week mark and it's becoming increasingly hard to find something to wear beside my maternity shorts and tee. Hope you are enjoying the short week! Thank you for stopping by
