Burgundy Leather Leggings

pants (similar) //  blouse // pumps (love these) //  hat  // bag // glasses c/o  // watch

When it comes to color names, everyone has an idea but which one is the right one? Fall is full of deeper, darker and stronger colors. I'm such a fan of burgundy/oxblood! In fact it's the hottest color this season and you know why? It's majestic, beautiful and rich, full of styling possibilities. I found these leggings at Target and was totally in love. They are leather in front but than my behind doesn't look like someone smeared butter all over it. ha! (I know, I'm weird). Apparently they sold out online (oops!) Now all I need is my plaids! Stay tuned for new post next week where I'm making something quite amazing (and it's wearable).

We are finally thawing! I'm so happy to report that the weather was the most pleasantly warm yesterday with high of 45. We actually got out of the house and went to grocery store, despite all being stricken with the plague. Our entire family is recovering from a nasty cold that had us coughing and stuffed the entire weekend. Jonathan successfully recovered from it and passed it on to both of us, which is not fun at all.

Black and White

Hello everyone. Hope you had a good weekend and didn't get buried in snow for the Nth time. I'm seriously sick and tired of this weather. I cannot look at this white stuff anymore and therefore I'm combating the lack of good weather with all kids of DIY. Follow me on Instagram to get insight what I'm doing next.
Also, can we talk about this striped top which I absolutely love. I saw it on Claire and after checking the prices, had to buy it. Seriously, it's on major sale and will work with lots of pieces for the upcoming months. It's the classic that will never get old. Thank you for popping over!

Red Valentine's Day Look

skirt: LOFT (similar here and here)
top: Forever21 (similar here & here)
booties: Ann Taylor (here & here)
scarf: Target
clutch: Target
watch: FOSSIL (on sale!!!)
I'm not sure if this outfit looks more Christmas-y or Valentine's Day-ish. I was trying to go with red and black but somehow this scarf makes me think Christmas. I know that every year for V-day I try to wear something like a killer LBD that hugs my bod in all the right places or skinny jeans with a liiiiiitle lower cut top. It's a treat for the hubs after all. But I think this year I will be bundling up with something warm like this scarf and extra thick fleece-lined tights. Geese Louise it's cold here! I hope you are getting your red on this weekend and I have a few more V-day inspired outfits coming your way. Have you thought of any romantic gestures yet? Are you staying in or going our to celebrate the day of love?

Thank you for stopping by.

Last Minute Gifts That No One Will Know Were Last Minute

Last minute gifts are the most stressful part of Christmas but you can certainly pull it off. Here are a few ideas to those who have been waiting until the last day. Hope you find something special and don't stress too much about it. Pretty wrapping always helps the situation.

SPA CERTIFICATE: Everyone loves a little pampering and no matter if they're getting a full head to toe massage or just a mani/pedi, it will be appreciated. It's something just for that person to enjoy after stressful holiday season.

AMAZON PRIME SUBSCRIPTION: This is probably the best gift you will every give. Amazon Prime offers thousands of items with free two-day delivery to your door. We have it and I absolutely love it! Plus you get movies, music and games. I mean how can you beat that?

MOVIE TICKETS: Going out to see movies at the theater is getting pretty expensive and those of us with mortgages and school loans can't really afford going out to see the latest flick. Sometimes it's nice to get out on a date or even go to a day time show by yourself. This will be one cool gift.

RESTAURANT CERTIFICATE: I consider these the best gifts of all. They save time when I have no time to cook, or when we want to go out for a special occasion. It's nice to know that we can just go out to dinner without braking the bank and have good time. Treat them to a nice meal and they will remember it for a long time.

BEAUTY BOX SUBSCRIPTION: This is a great service that will send something new every month based on the characteristics you give them. The 3 month subscription to BirchBox is only $30. Couple of clicks and your friends will have a surprise in mail for three months. You can go all out and buy it for the whole year.

Hi all! Hope you are having a great week so far and enjoying Christmas season. I'm in full baking mode, buying cookie tins and wrapping pretty presents. I love to wear bright colors during Christmas season, and especially red. Against the white of snow it looks so pretty, I think!  Do you have your reds out? Do share!
